Residential Rehabilitation Program (RRP) Southern Maryland
The Residential Rehabilitation Program offers transitional group homes and supportive psychiatric rehab services to individuals with severe and persistent mental health diagnoses while they learn to manage their mental health, improve their daily living skills, and meet their personal goals.
Program Goals
The goal of Residential Rehabilitation Program (RRP) is to help the peoplewe serve integrate into community living by assisting them with developingindependent living skills, providing linkage to community resources, andcoaching clients on the skills needed to manage the effects of theirdiagnosis. We offer both Intensive and General levels according to theneeds of each individual.
Program Objectives
Our objective is to assist individuals in developing theindependent skills needed to decrease their level of services to GeneralRRP or move directly into independent living.
Individuals in our Intensive Level RRP have typically lost a significant level of independence and require more support in achieving their independence goals. Individuals reside in a group home staffed 24/7 , with 2-3 roommates and receive daily rehab services from residential counselors .
Individuals in General Level RRP receive drop-in support services 4-6 times each week, but otherwise live independently in agency-owned housing. They have 2 roommates and must meet certain criteria in order to be approved for admission to the program. Our objective is to assist individuals in maintaining their independence while they work on obtaining their own housing within the community and be completely independent (with the option of receiving PRP services).
- All residents are required to pay the cost of care.
