Clinic

Cornerstone Montgomery’s Outpatient Mental Health Clinics provide a full range of mental health, psychiatric and therapeutic treatment services. Our clinics serve members of our Psychiatric and Residential Rehabilitation programs as well as members of the community. Our clinics are located in Bethesda, Silver Spring and Rockville, and have the capacity to serve 1,650 individuals annually.

As our Mission Statement says, all of the staff at Cornerstone Montgomery want to work with you to move toward recovery so that you can live a fulfilling life as independently as possible. Recovery means having the life you want regardless of your mental health or substance use disorder. To be in recovery does not mean that you are cured – it means that you are living a full life that includes living with the disorder(s).

We are sure you have your own idea of what your recovery will look like. You have your own hopes and dreams for the future. We would like to share some of what staff think could be included in your recovery:

  • Having a chance to make the most of your strengths
  • Having a place to live that is comfortable, safe, and personalized
  • Being valued for who you are
  • Having a valued role in society
  • Having rewarding relationships
  • Being involved in productive work
  • Feeling a sense of progress
  • Feeling contentment
  • Having hope that good things are coming
  • Finding your own dreams and working towards them
  • Managing your physical and mental health

Whether you want to work on one or more of these or have other goals for your recovery, the staff at Cornerstone Montgomery believes in helping you get there by helping you identify your own vision for recovery.

Our staff is committed to providing an understanding, caring, and helpful environment to those clients who are either struggling to or who are equally committed to overcoming their mental health and/or substance use disorders.

Some of the benefits of enrolling into our clinic services is being able to participate in our clinic groups. All of our clinics offer support groups to those that share a common diagnosis or interest. They come together to support one another and share ideas and their experiences. These groups are led by professional therapists to complement our clients overall treatment. Our support groups are designed to build coping skills and developing new skills.

  • General Support Group for adults under 75 years of age
