Partial Hospitalization Programs
Intensive therapy in a structured, supportive setting in Adventist HealthCare’s partial hospitalization programs for children, adolescents and adults. Patients receive the therapeutic care they need during the day while remaining in the community. These services help bridge the gap between inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care and offer an alternative to hospitalization.
An emergency petition must be completed by a licensed professional- MD, CRNP, LCPC, LGSW, and must have been seen by them within the past 72 hours.
A petition for emergency evaluation can be made only if the petitioner has reason to believe that the individual: Has a mental disorder and the individual presents a danger to the life or safety of the individual or others. The following website offers additional information about filing petitions.

Montgomery County Crisis Center
Montgomery County Crisis Center provides immediate response to crisis situations for all residents of Montgomery County, Maryland. The center provides goal-oriented crisis intervention, brief crisis stabilization, & help in obtaining services for individuals and families with a mental health crisis or experiencing other crisis situations.

Crisis Center Services Include:
Mobile Treatment - The Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) is available for situations in the community that require immediate on-site clinical intervention. Trained mental health professionals, accompanied by the police, will travel to the home or place of business to assess and help individuals or families in severe emotional, psychiatric, or trauma-stress related emergencies. This service is currently available 24 hours/7 days per week, and is free to Montgomery County residents.
Residential crisis beds – similar to our crisis program, a four-bed residential unit to offer alternatives to hospitalization. The purpose is to offer a place for clients who need psychiatric stabilization.
Shelter referrals - In Montgomery County all single, homeless adults are evaluated at the Crisis Center before being admitted to the shelter system. The center is available 24 hours a day for face-to-face interviews to discuss what led to their homelessness.
