Mental Health First Aid ($125) - Inquire about Contact Hours

Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. Stages of Change ($110) - 3 Contact HoursThis training focuses on the Trans theoretical Model of Behavior Change that posits clients move through when attempting to change a specific behavior.  This training describes each stage a client enters when beginning their thought of change, and what interventions are applicable at each stage.  

Motivational Interviewing ($110)  - 3 Contact Hours

This training focuses on a directive, client centered counseling style used for eliciting behavior change by helping clients to explore and resolve ambivalence.  The counselor is intentionally directive in pursuing this goal.  

Military Cultural Competence ($110) - 1 Contact Hour

This training’s primary focus is to educate staff on the values of military personnel so they are better prepared to offer services to active members and Veterans.  Military personnel are more comfortable seeking and receiving services from community based providers that are competent regarding the military culture. 

Personality Disorders ($110) - 3 Contact Hours 

This training teaches you to provide clients with new skills to manage painful emotions and decrease conflict in relationships.  Originally designed for individuals with Borderline personality disorder but research shows it is effective with other mental illness focusing on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) ($110)  - 3 Contact Hours

This is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on solutions, encouraging clients to challenge distorted cognition and change destructive patterns of behavior.  The premise for learning CBT is to understand that thoughts and perceptions influence behaviors. Learning to control these thoughts can result in improved behaviors. 

Ethical Decision Making ($110) - 3 Contact Hours

This training was developed by a team of licensed clinicians to establish moral principles that govern our decision making.  This training’s primary focus is on navigating the grey zones that present when making clinical decisions and relies on the ethical decision making model for intended results. 

Dually Diagnosed Enhanced (DDE) ($110)  - 3 Contact Hours

This is a training designed to educate participants on the increasingly significant topic of dual diagnosis.  These are individuals diagnosed with both a substance use and mental health disorder. With a primary focus on co-morbidity theories, principles of DDE and strategies for interventions this training brings awareness and offers skills to those who are working with dually diagnosed individuals and put a focus on treating both disorders.
