Internships at Cornerstone Montgomery offer opportunities for people with diverse skills and educational goals. Unpaid graduate and undergraduate internships and externships may be started at any time during the year.
You will begin your internship by experiencing and observing the engagement process between each client–all of whom are in various stages of their mental health recovery–and counselor. You will develop communication skills and insights that you will use throughout your internship as well as with future clients. You will have ongoing opportunities to participate in individual and group in-situ counseling, guidance and support for clients, which will provide you with valuable in-depth background for your planned career. An internship in any of our programs will afford you the opportunity to participate in each client’s recovery journey.
Please Note: Cornerstone Montgomery can only accept Graduate Level Interns beginning in the Fall 2019 Semester. Interested undergraduates are able to apply for both Spring & Fall 2019.
